Fairytale

BY: Katya Gerasimova Bosky

In the shadow of war, a strange and haunting tale takes place.

Written in the first days of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Katya Gerasimova Bosky’s ‘Fairytale’ is a lyrical fable about memory, war, beauty and the fragility of nature. Illustrated with stark black and white paper collages touched with the only colour being blood red, this artist’s book transforms political grief into poetic allegory.

‘Fairytale’ is both an act of remembrance and a gesture of solidarity, with all proceeds supporting British-Ukrainian Aid.
